Writer Kim Eun-sook and CEO Yoon Ha-rim of Hwa & Dam Pictures have stepped up to help children in disaster-affected areas.

Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association (Chairman Song Pil-ho) announced on the 5th that writer Kim and CEO Yoon donated 60 million won to support children and adolescents in child care facilities in disaster-affected areas. The donation will be used through Hope Bridge to select child care facilities in the Gyeongbuk and Gangwon regions and support the birthdays and anniversaries of the children at those institutions.

Both are members of the Hope Bridge high-donor group, the "Hope Bridge Honors Club," and have practiced sharing whenever disasters such as floods, wildfires, and earthquakes occurred, starting with donations for the Sewol ferry disaster in 2014. They have supported child care facilities in disaster-affected areas every Children’s Day and Christmas, and from this year, they have expanded their support to a sustained sponsorship format by also celebrating birthdays and anniversaries.

Writer Kim Eun-sook said, "What may be a natural birthday celebration for some children could be something others have never experienced," adding, "I hope the children can feel that they are 'special beings' even if just for one day."

CEO Yoon Ha-rim of Hwa & Dam Pictures said, "Children who should be most protected are sometimes the most neglected," and added, "Even a small help can allow children to experience a warm world, and I want to be part of that."

Shin Hoon, Secretary General of Hope Bridge, expressed deep gratitude to the two for their continuous sharing and positive influence, saying, "We will do our best to ensure that the warm hearts you have conveyed become precious memories for the children."
