As of 10:21 a.m. on the 5th, the KOSPI recorded 2512.28, up 30.59 points (1.23%) from the previous trading day.
On this day, the KOSPI started at 2503.94 and widened its gains as net buying by foreigners and institutions increased, recovering to the 2510 level.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions net bought 139.8 billion KRW and 48.6 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals net sold 191.9 billion KRW.
By sector, electrical and electronics and textiles and apparel rose more than 2%. Chemicals, food and tobacco, and distribution also rose more than 1%. On the other hand, machinery equipment, transportation equipment, and non-metallic sectors showed slight declines.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Samsung Electronics traded at 53,400 KRW, up 700 KRW (1.33%) from the previous trading day. NAVER rose 5.72%, and SK Hynix and LG Energy Solution also rose more than 3%. Hyundai Motor, Kia, and Shinhan Financial Group rose more than 1%. Conversely, HD Hyundai Heavy Industries fell 3.12%.
The KOSDAQ recorded 727.53, up 7.61 points (1.06%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, foreigners and institutions net sold 66.2 billion KRW and 9.4 billion KRW, respectively. Meanwhile, individuals net bought 85.4 billion KRW.
By sector, IT services and machinery equipment rose more than 2%. Pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and finance rose more than 1%. On the other hand, publishing media, other manufacturing, and metals showed slight declines.
Among the top market capitalization stocks, Alteogen traded at 373,000 KRW, down 1,000 KRW (0.27%) from the previous trading day.
By investor type, Samchundang Pharm surged 15.90%, and HPSP rose 7.72%. Rainbow Robotics rose 4.26%, and EcoPro BM and EcoPro rose more than 2%. Conversely, Ligachem Bio, Classys, and Lino Industrial showed slight declines.
