Applications Accepted from the 10th
Support of 600,000 KRW per Boiler
Daejeon City announced that it will launch a support program for the installation of eco-friendly boilers in households of low-income and vulnerable groups starting from the 10th.
The eligible recipients include: beneficiaries of basic livelihood security, lower-income groups, single-parent families, households with two or more children, and social welfare facilities, all of which are classified as low-income or vulnerable groups. Starting this year, the income criteria for households with two or more children have been relaxed from 70% or less of the median income to 100% or less.
Eligible boilers must be installed (or replaced) in 2025, be condensing gas boilers with a rated gas consumption of 70kW or less, and be certified with an environmental label. In areas not supplied with city gas, support is also available when replacing existing oil boilers with certified Type 2 LPG boilers.
Applications will be accepted from the 10th until December 5. The support amount is 600,000 KRW per unit, with a total of 1,000 units available for support.
Applications can be submitted online, by visiting the local district office, or by mail. For mail applications, only those received by the closing date will be considered valid.
Jung Jaehyung, head of the Air Quality Division of Daejeon City, said, "Eco-friendly home boilers can reduce air pollutants such as nitrogen oxides and also help save on heating costs, providing a double benefit."
