On the 3rd, Jo communicated with students on social networking services (SNS) and said, "I do not express or discuss specific opinions; I stand on the podium to impart the knowledge and experience I have to exam candidates," adding, "Naturally, students who come to attend the class enter the classroom to accept what I say as it is, rather than engage in critical discussion."

He said, "I know very well how frightening it is to accept someone's opinions without criticism. Based on these views, I do not express political opinions in any space related to my lectures," emphasizing, "Especially for students in their late teens and early twenties, who easily accept the words of others they respect in any situation, it is not right for an instructor to impose political views." He added, "Do not judge my political stance based on the color of the clothes I wear or my perspective on the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT)."

Previously, Jo was reportedly protested by anonymous students regarding the impeachment of President Yoon. According to Jo, one student sent a threatening message via SNS. In response, Jo said, "These messages come frequently. I have never revealed my political stance, so why do people jump to conclusions like this?" He also rebutted various writings about political views by saying, "My principle is that instructors should not do that."
