Former U.S. President Joe Biden has signed a contract with a major Hollywood talent agency.
On the 3rd (local time), the agency Creative Artists Agency (CAA) announced that it had signed a contract with President Biden. After completing his term as vice president, Biden is teaming up again with CAA, with whom he worked from 2017 to 2020, to continue his activities after leaving office.
CAA is the agency that has represented former U.S. President Barack Obama and his wife, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, among others. While it usually signs contracts with famous movie stars or A-list celebrities, according to the British BBC, it is not uncommon for the agency to collaborate with politicians or social activist groups as well.
Previously, CAA handled the promotion of Biden’s memoir "Promise Me, Dad," published in 2017. This book, which deals with the death of his eldest son Beau, became a bestseller and is considered a stepping stone for his 2020 presidential campaign.
In a statement, CAA said, "President Biden is one of the most respected and influential American voices both domestically and internationally," adding, "We are very honored to be working with him again."
Having left the White House on the 20th of last month, former President Biden had remained silent about his plans after leaving office. At the time of his departure, he told his supporters, "We are leaving the office, not the fight."
