Sejong University Achieves Excellent Rankings Across All Fields in THE Evaluation

Sejong University announced on the 7th that it achieved outstanding results in the ‘2025 THE World University Subject Rankings’ released by the UK higher education evaluation agency THE.

In this evaluation, Sejong University achieved impressive rankings both domestically and internationally across all fields including Business/Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, Natural Sciences, Social Sciences, and Life Sciences.

Based on global rankings, Sejong University was placed 151-175th in Business/Economics, 176-200th in Engineering and Computer Science, 201-250th in Natural Sciences, and 251-300th in Social Sciences and Life Sciences. Notably, in domestic rankings, it ranked 4th in Social Sciences, 5th in Business/Economics, 8th in Computer Science, 8th in Natural Sciences, 8th in Life Sciences, and 9th in Engineering. These results are regarded as the fruit of Sejong University’s efforts since the 1990s in innovating and transforming its engineering departments, continuous investment, improving research environments, and securing excellent faculty members.

The Department of Business Administration at Sejong University ranked 5th domestically, jointly with Kyung Hee University, following Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Sungkyunkwan University, and Korea University. It also met international educational standards in business education by obtaining AACSB accreditation for the fourth consecutive time. AACSB accreditation is a prestigious certification held by less than 5% of business schools worldwide, and this evaluation result further highlighted the competitiveness of Sejong University’s Department of Business Administration.

President Eom Jong-hwa stated, “This THE evaluation result is an important milestone for Sejong University’s leap as a global university,” adding, “We will continue to promote investment and innovation to strengthen research capabilities and improve the quality of education, and expand advanced research and international cooperation to grow into a university with world-class competitiveness.”

Meanwhile, Sejong University also demonstrated its global competitiveness in the tourism and service fields by ranking 43rd worldwide and 1st domestically in the Hotel Management field in last year’s QS World University Subject Rankings.
