Lee Joo-su, CEO of Korea Energy Information Culture Foundation
The Korea Energy Information Culture Foundation announced on the 4th that Lee Joo-soo, former chairman of the board of Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation, has been appointed as the new CEO.
Starting his duties on the 5th, CEO Lee Joo-soo will oversee the organization's operations, with a term of three years ending on February 4, 2028.
Lee Joo-soo, the new CEO, majored in Public Administration at Kyonggi University and earned a master's degree in International Relations from Korea University Graduate School of Policy. He has served as a member of the Seoul Regional Council of the National Integration Committee and as a member of the 7th Seoul Metropolitan Council, and previously chaired the board of Seoul Agro-Fisheries & Food Corporation.
The foundation stated, "The new CEO is expected to contribute to establishing a balanced awareness base for the development of the energy industry through accurate information provision in the AI era, where energy demand is increasing, based on his communication skills and experience in public office and local government."
Established in 1992 under the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the foundation is a public institution aimed at promoting social welfare by enhancing the public's correct understanding of energy through the dissemination and spread of objective and scientific information related to energy, and by fostering energy culture.
