Person Who Live-Streamed on YouTube Also Arrested
The police have requested an arrest warrant for a man in his 50s accused of participating in the violent incident at Seoul Western District Court and damaging the court's shutter.
On February 4, Mapo Police Station in Seoul announced that it had requested an arrest warrant for Yoon (age 57), who was detained the previous day on charges including trespassing on a building.
Yoon is reported to have made remarks such as "If you support Yoon Suk-yeol, fight with us" at the scene of the disturbance at the Western District Court on January 19.
Yoon was previously sentenced to a fine in 2023 for damaging the marker stone at the site of the founding congress of the Joseon Communist Party and the bust of Jeong Yulseong.
The police also detained Kim, who livestreamed the incident at the Western District Court on YouTube that morning, on charges including trespassing on a building.
