Cheonan Mayor Park Sangdon Discusses Smart City Cooperation with NHN and Google Cloud

Cheonan Mayor Park Sangdon visited NHN Cloud and Google Cloud Korea on the 3rd to discuss the transition of public administration to the cloud and the adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies.

Mayor Park met with Kim Donghoon, CEO of NHN Cloud, to discuss ways to apply cloud technology to Cheonan's smart city hub development project.

Kim Donghoon stated, "NHN Cloud will actively cooperate in building smart cities and transitioning public administration to the cloud," adding, "We will contribute to Cheonan's digital innovation by supporting efficient administrative services."

Mayor Park also met with Ji Kisung, President of Google Cloud Korea, to discuss cooperation on AI technology proof-of-concept (PoC) projects, supporting promising local companies to enter the global market, and operating AI education programs to nurture local talent.

Ji Kisung said, "We will actively cooperate to accelerate smart city development and maximize its potential by leveraging Google Cloud's technological capabilities."

Mayor Park emphasized, "Cheonan is pursuing the creation of a smart city to respond to rapid urban environmental changes and secure new growth engines," and added, "As cooperation with companies is essential, we will strengthen our partnerships with NHN and Google to advance the digital industry to the next level."
