Kim Dong-yeon "Deeply Agree with Former Representative Cho Kuk's Claim of a 'New Majority Coalition'"

Kim Dong-yeon, Governor of Gyeonggi Province, argued that a change beyond just a regime change is necessary.


On the 3rd, Kim Dong-yeon stated on his social media (SNS), "I deeply agree with former Representative Cho Kuk's remark that a ‘new majority coalition’ must be formed for regime change and social reform."


He added, "A change beyond regime change is needed," and insisted, "We must move forward to the 7th Republic and a new Republic of Korea together with the forces that supported the impeachment."

He also said, "We must achieve a ‘government of light’ and a ‘coalition of light’ together with citizens holding cheering sticks of various colors," and promised, "I will also do my part properly on the path of genuine regime change and a ‘new Republic of Korea.’"


Earlier, former Cho Kuk, former leader of the Cho Kuk Innovation Party, emphasized in a written interview with the media on the 2nd regarding the recent political turmoil after President Yoon Seok-yeol's December 3 emergency martial law, "The conservative and reactionary camps are rallying to maintain and extend their power," and stressed, "To achieve regime change and social reform that the previous government failed to accomplish, a ‘new majority coalition’ must be formed based on a new vision for the post-Yoon Seok-yeol era."
