Gijang-gun Supports Youth Qualification Exam Fees and Interview Allowances

Unemployed and Non-Startup Youth in Gijang-gun
Qualification Exam Fees and Interview Allowances Supported
Applications Accepted Until December 4

Busan Gijang-gun will start supporting qualification exam fees and interview allowances from February to facilitate smooth employment activities for local youth.

This support project is being promoted to alleviate the economic burden caused by job preparation for young people, in accordance with the ‘2025 Youth Policy Support Project’.

The support targets unemployed or non-startup youth aged 19 to 39 (born between 1985 and 2006) residing in Gijang-gun as of the application date. Only those who actually took qualification exams and interviews conducted since December 1 of last year are eligible for support, and applications can be submitted online through the Gijang-gun website until December 4.

For qualification exam fees, up to 100,000 KRW per person can be supported. Eligible exam types include ▲language proficiency ▲national technical qualifications ▲national professional certifications ▲nationally certified private qualifications ▲Korean History Proficiency Test, and support is provided regardless of exam scores or certification acquisition for those who actually took the qualification exams.

Additionally, youth who attended interviews for employment can receive an interview allowance of 50,000 KRW per interview, up to twice a year (maximum 100,000 KRW), regardless of whether they pass the interview.

Jung Jong-bok, the county governor, said, “We will continue to prepare various support measures to assist the youth generation, who will play a pivotal role in the development of Gijang-gun, in their successful job search activities.”
