Namyangju Youth International Exchange Group Nurtures Global Leader Dreams in Brea, USA

Namyangju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Joo Gwang-deok) announced on the 3rd that a youth international exchange group consisting of 24 adolescents and 4 accompanying officials visited Brea City, USA, to participate in various cultural and educational programs.

This exchange was promoted not only to cultivate global leadership among local youth but also to foster friendship between Namyangju City and Brea City.


The exchange group is scheduled to experience American education and culture over 9 nights and 11 days, including △homestays with local families △joint classes at Brea middle and high schools △a tour of the prestigious UCLA campus △a visit to Universal Studios.


In particular, through homestays, the group will live with local families to directly experience American culture, and by participating in joint classes at Brea middle and high schools, they will have opportunities to communicate with local students and understand educational methods and culture.


Mayor Joo Gwang-deok said, “Youth international exchange is an investment to discover talent in Namyangju City,” adding, “With ‘safety as the top priority,’ I hope our youth gain diverse experiences through this exchange and develop the qualities of global leaders.”
