Hyundai Motor sells 310,000 units in January... 2.3% decrease YoY due to Seol holiday

Hyundai Motor Company announced on the 3rd that it sold a total of 310,399 units worldwide in January, a 2.3% decrease compared to the same month last year.


Hyundai sold 46,054 units in the domestic market, a 7.5% decrease compared to the same month last year.

Sedans sold a total of 14,806 units, including Grandeur (5,711 units), Sonata (3,620 units), and Avante (5,463 units), while SUVs sold 14,836 units, including Santa Fe (4,819 units), Tucson (3,636 units), Kona (2,141 units), and Casper (926 units).


Porter recorded sales of 3,335 units, Staria sold 2,484 units, and medium-to-large buses and trucks sold 1,762 units.


The premium brand Genesis sold a total of 8,824 units, including G80 (2,730 units), GV80 (2,692 units), and GV70 (2,739 units).


In overseas markets, Hyundai sold 264,345 units, a 1.4% decrease compared to the same month last year.


A Hyundai official stated, "In response to the anticipated increase in uncertainty, we plan to enhance our proactive risk management capabilities and strengthen local sales and production systems," adding, "Through the launch of next-generation hybrid and electric vehicles, we aim to establish ourselves as a top-tier brand that global customers can trust and choose."
