Mokwon University is strengthening educational cooperation with local governments and major universities in Thailand.
On the 3rd, Mokwon University announced that President Lee Hee-hak and officials from the Office of International Cooperation recently visited Chiang Mai, Thailand, and signed memorandums of understanding to enhance global educational cooperation with Pattaya City, major universities, and international schools.

First, during the visit to Chiang Mai, President Lee and his delegation held a top-level working meeting attended by the Mayor of Pattaya, the Deputy Minister of Finance, and the Superintendent of Education. At this meeting, President Lee discussed with Mayor Polamat Piche the establishment of a Pattaya branch of Mokwon University's International Education Institute.
Additionally, Mokwon University signed memorandums of understanding for mutual cooperation in global education with Sahapat International School (SIBS) affiliated with Rangsit University, The Far Eastern University in Chiang Mai, and Chiang Mai Rajabhat University.
According to the agreements, Mokwon University plans to promote programs such as student and faculty exchanges, joint research, and Korean language and culture education with local educational institutions in Thailand.
President Lee Hee-hak of Mokwon University stated, “We will strive to provide international learning opportunities to local students by cooperating with major universities and institutions in Thailand, while also promoting the Korean language and Korean culture.”
