Samsung E&A Wins 2.5 Trillion KRW Methanol Plant Contract in UAE

EPC Contract Signed for "UAE Methanol Project"
First Overseas Order of the Year

Samsung E&A announced on the 3rd that it has secured a methanol plant construction contract worth approximately 2.4788 trillion KRW in the United Arab Emirates (UAE).

This project involves the engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of a plant facility capable of producing 5,000 tons of methanol per day at the Tadiz Industrial Complex within the Ruwais Industrial Zone in the UAE. The client is ADNOC, the UAE's state-owned oil company.


The contract amount is 1.706 billion USD (approximately 2.4788 trillion KRW), with a condition to complete the construction within 44 months. The contract signing ceremony held on the 3rd in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the UAE, was attended by Namgung Hong, President of Samsung E&A, and Marshal Al Kindi, President of Tadiz, among others.


Samsung E&A stated that it plans to successfully complete this project based on its recent successful experience with the Malaysia methanol project and its know-how from carrying out eight projects within the Ruwais Industrial Zone.
