Public Contest for Human Rights Promotion
Applications Accepted Until the 17th

Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju announced on the 3rd that it will be promoting a public contest project to support activities aimed at improving youth human rights for citizens.

This project was established to help resolve various youth human rights issues such as school violence and digital human rights violations, and to build a foundation for guaranteeing youth human rights.

The district will provide a total of 10 million won to support various activities related to youth human rights, including guaranteeing the rights of migrant-background and recently arrived youths, out-of-school youths, and spreading a culture of respect for human rights.

Until the 17th, youth organizations, parent groups, and other organizations active in the region can apply to participate in the project. After an open recruitment and review process, the results will be announced in March.

Park Byungkyu, the head of the district, said, "This project will be the first step in raising awareness of youth human rights and strengthening the community's ability to protect them," and added, "Gwangsan-gu will do its best to become a youth human rights city where young people can actively speak out and participate with confidence."
