Suncheon City to Support Housing Jeonse Loan Interest for Newlyweds

Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Noh Gwan-gyu) announced that it will begin accepting applications for new recipients of the "Housing Lease Loan Interest Support Program for Newlywed Couples" starting from the 10th, in order to reduce housing costs for newlywed couples and young people.

The Housing Lease Loan Interest Support Program for Newlywed Couples provides up to 100,000 KRW per month in interest support for housing lease loans for up to four years to newlywed couples without homes who reside in Suncheon City.

Eligible homes include apartments, detached houses, and multi-family houses located in Suncheon City, with a lease price of 300 million KRW or less and an exclusive area of 85 square meters or less. Support is limited to households that have received lease loan products from the National Housing and Urban Fund (NHUF), such as the Bogeumjari Lease Loan or the Newlywed Couple Lease Loan.

Recipients of housing benefits, beneficiaries of housing supply programs by Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH), and those covered by similar housing-related programs from the government or local authorities are excluded.

Applications will be accepted continuously until the budget is exhausted, with a total of 150 new households to be selected. Applicants can visit the Suncheon City Youth Policy Division in person or submit the application form via the designated staff member's email and then send the original documents by registered mail.

Eligibility requirements are as follows: both spouses must reside in Suncheon City, be between 18 and 45 years old, have a combined annual income of 75 million KRW or less (50 million KRW or less for single-income households), and be newlyweds without a home who have registered their marriage within the past five years.
