Volunteer Service in Gwacheon Residential Vinyl Greenhouse Area
3,000 Briquettes Delivered to Elderly Living Alone, Spreading Warmth
Members of the Ping golf club, ‘Ping Mania Club,’ shared warm love.
They announced on the 3rd that they delivered 3,000 briquettes to underprivileged neighbors. Hearing from the Bapsang Community Briquette Bank that briquette donations have drastically decreased this year due to the severe economic downturn, they doubled their donations compared to the previous year. On the 1st, they conducted volunteer activities in the residential vinyl greenhouse area of Gwacheon-dong, Gwacheon-si, Gyeonggi-do. Ping-affiliated professionals Jeon Ji-seon, Lee Ru-na, Go Yoon-sung, Ha Gi-won, Yoon Chan-ho, Kim Yoo-geun, and Oh Jin-dong also lent their support.
Using donations from Ping club members, briquettes were purchased and directly delivered to elderly people living alone who needed assistance. A total of 40 people participated in the volunteer site. The Ping Mania Club conducts briquette volunteer work every year. Last year, they delivered 1,500 briquettes to a hillside neighborhood in Nowon-gu, Seoul. The Ping Mania Club is a club formed independently by amateur golfers using the Ping club. Currently, about 31,500 members exchange information.
