Targeting Opening in March 2028
Cheonan Office of Education in Chungnam announced on the 3rd that the establishment of Upseong 2 Kindergarten (tentative name) and Upseong 2 Elementary School (tentative name) has been confirmed, and the project has commenced with the goal of opening in March 2028.
This new establishment was carried out to prepare for the increase in school demand due to urban development in the Upseong-dong area.
Upseong 2 Kindergarten will be built with a total project cost of 22.25 billion KRW at 265-16 Upseong-dong, consisting of 10 classes (9 general, 1 special) for a total of 156 students. The project received an approval notice from the Chungnam Office of Education's financial investment review.
Upseong 2 Elementary School will be constructed with a total project cost of 71 billion KRW at 283 Seongseong-dong, consisting of 47 classes (44 general, 3 special) for a total of 1,014 students. The project received an approval notice from the Ministry of Education's central investment review.
