Lee Taekgu, Former Administrative Vice Mayor, Appointed as Daejeon City's Vice Mayor for Economy and Science

Lee Taekgu (58), former Administrative Vice Mayor, was inaugurated as the Vice Mayor for Economy and Science of Daejeon City on the 3rd.

Vice Mayor Lee began his official duties without a separate inauguration ceremony, receiving his letter of appointment from Mayor Lee Jangwoo in the morning, then visiting various departments and the city council.

Vice Mayor Lee graduated from Daeseong High School and Chungnam National University, and began his public service career at Daejeon City in 1994. He has served as Director of Planning and Management and as the 18th Administrative Vice Mayor of Daejeon City.

A Daejeon City official stated, "Vice Mayor Lee is a bureaucratic expert well-versed in local affairs and current issues, with excellent communication skills and strong drive," adding, "He will focus on playing a key political role in completing the first-class economic city during the 8th popularly elected administration."
