Investing 405 Million KRW by May
Cheonan City in Chungnam Province announced on the 3rd that it will replace the arcade (arched rain shelter roof) at Seongjeong Market with fire-resistant materials by May.
This replacement is being carried out to prevent fires in traditional markets and enhance safety.
The city will invest 405 million KRW to replace a 1,040-square-meter section of the arcade, switching from polycarbonate to the fire-resistant material polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF).
The city also plans to replace the arcades at Yeokjeon Market and Jungang Market with fire-resistant materials.
