Daegu Dalseo-gu (District Mayor Lee Tae-hoon) announced on the 3rd that it will continue the moving expense support project to improve the housing environment for vulnerable residential groups in 2025.
Through this project, it plans to assist residents living in non-residential housing to relocate and establish a more stable housing environment.
The support targets are households confirmed to move from non-residential housing such as goshiwon, yeoin-suk, and semi-basement rooms to public rental housing, as well as households moving to private housing after passing the interest-free deposit loan screening by the Housing and Urban Guarantee Corporation (HUG). Moving expenses of up to 400,000 KRW will be supported, and in the past two years, 76 households in Dalseo-gu have relocated to stable housing through this project.
To receive moving expense support, applicants must visit the administrative welfare center of their new residential address within three months after moving. When applying, they must submit supporting documents for moving expenses and daily necessities purchase costs. After document review and eligibility verification, the decision on support will be made within 14 days from the application date.
Lee Tae-hoon, Mayor of Daegu Dalseo-gu, stated, “We hope this moving expense support project will provide practical help to residents who are escaping difficult environments and establishing new homes,” and added, “We will continue to faithfully fulfill the role of a leading city in residential welfare and do our best to open the era of ‘Daegu Center, Dalseo’s Time.’”
