Lee emphasized, "There can be no distinction between ruling and opposition parties in the face of a national crisis," and said, "Everyone must work together."
Lee also reiterated his intention to push for a supplementary budget. He said, "If Kwon Seong-dong, floor leader of the People Power Party, is sincere about the supplementary budget, I agree with and welcome his suggestion to activate a government-party consultative body to discuss the supplementary budget." The previous day, Floor Leader Kwon said regarding the supplementary budget, "If you are sincere about people's livelihoods, the ruling-opposition-government consultative body should return." However, Lee criticized Kwon's call for the consultative body's return, saying, "Did we withdraw? Why are you speaking as if the opposition party is absent?"
