Volvo Cars Korea announced on the 3rd that it will reduce the selling price of the next-generation premium pure electric SUV 'EX30' by up to 3.33 million KRW.

The EX30 made a successful debut last year with approximately 100,000 units sold globally, ranking first in premium electric vehicle sales in the European market alone with 78,032 units sold.

In Korea, it is launched in two trims, Core and Ultra, based on a rear-wheel-drive single motor extended range powertrain with 272 horsepower and capable of accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.3 seconds, with interior and exterior configurations and some convenience features varying by trim.

Notably, it added a 1040W Harman Kardon soundbar and a new driver warning system, applied all advanced safety technologies under the 'Safe Space Technology,' and next-generation 'Park Pilot Assist' that allows parking with simple 3D interface screen operation, yet officially lowered the selling price by up to 3.33 million KRW.

The Core trim is priced at 47.55 million KRW (previously 49.45 million KRW), and the Ultra trim at 51.83 million KRW (previously 55.16 million KRW). With national and local government electric vehicle subsidies applied, it is expected to be purchasable in the low 40 million KRW range.

Customers who previously purchased a Volvo vehicle (within 6 years/120,000 km) through an official dealer will receive an additional 500,000 KRW support when purchasing the EX30. They can also benefit from this year’s government incentives such as individual consumption tax and acquisition tax reductions, subsidies for young first-time EV buyers, and additional subsidies for multi-child households, making the purchase conditions even more reasonable.

Lee Yun-mo, CEO of Volvo Cars Korea, said, "After extensive discussions and consultations with headquarters to allow more customers to experience the value of the next-generation premium electric SUV EX30, we have adjusted the price. We hope you experience firsthand the next-generation premium SUV that embodies excellent Swedish design, best-in-class advanced technology, and a philosophy of safety."
