This course consists of a total of 42 hours and is operated by selecting 30 participants through a strict screening process from among teachers, education professionals, and local government officials affiliated with the Gyeongbuk Office of Education.

Participants will attend various lectures such as strengthening planning skills, responding to the climate crisis, how the world nurtures talent, finding ideas from the Svanholm community, and system thinking-based policy analysis, and will develop and propose policies applicable to the educational field through discussions and team project activities.

In particular, the team project activity, a specialized course unique to the Policy Innovation Academy, will be operated as a plan-execute-evaluate process that leads from idea generation using easel pads and brainstorming to output evaluation, focusing on the four major priority tasks of Gyeongbuk education in 2025 (mental health support, integrated achievement assessment, customized educational services, and educational settlement).

In the first half of this year, a total of three courses, including the basic courses 7th and 8th classes and the advanced course 2nd class, will be operated, with 100 trainees expected to participate.

Im Jong-sik, Superintendent of Gyeongbuk Office of Education, said, "I hope that the Policy Innovation Academy will be a valuable time to cultivate policy experts in Gyeongbuk education, share new educational policies and experiences, and create opportunities for growth," and added, "We ask for the continued interest and active participation of all members of the Gyeongbuk education family."
