Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced on the 3rd that it has completed the development of its own system, ‘Songpa AI Brain,’ to facilitate easy use of artificial intelligence in administration, and has begun pilot operation.
Recently, local governments have been increasingly utilizing artificial intelligence (AI) in administration. However, the use of existing systems has been limited due to budget support and training on how to use them.
Accordingly, the district established its own AI system within the administrative portal used for work. The system was designed over the past year based on the ChatGPT-4o engine introduced last year by the AI company OpenAI.
Named ‘Songpa AI Brain,’ this system has several advantages. It can provide high-level responses using natural language processing technology and quickly and accurately answers various questions across administration, including welfare, culture, and daily life information.
The greatest advantage is system accessibility. Anyone can use it immediately within the administrative portal familiar to employees without the need for separate site registration or login.
By using ‘Songpa AI Brain,’ users can receive various assistance in a short time, including ▲summarizing various documents ▲writing reports ▲searching administrative information such as laws and guidelines related to work.
The district plans to conduct training for all employees in the first half of this year to increase system utilization. Additionally, it intends to complete advanced development by the second half of the year, adding specialized functions tailored to the characteristics of each department’s work.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “‘Songpa AI Brain’ will be a useful tool that reduces repetitive and simple tasks while supporting fast and efficient decision-making. By integrating artificial intelligence into Songpa-gu’s administration, we will provide more detailed and enhanced administrative services and practice an advanced ‘serving administration.’”
