Autonomous Program: 85.6 Billion KRW
Shinhan Bank announced on the 31st that it conducted a livelihood finance support program worth 280.9 billion KRW last year. Specifically, 195.3 billion KRW was allocated to the common program and 85.6 billion KRW to the autonomous program.
As part of the common program, Shinhan Bank provided interest cashback totaling 195.3 billion KRW in five installments to approximately 280,000 self-employed individuals from February last year until the 16th of this month. By expanding the target recipients of the autonomous programs promoted by each bank, the bank supported 85.6 billion KRW through various financial products and services aimed at alleviating the financial burden on small business owners, supporting youth, and addressing low birth rates and aging population issues.
A Shinhan Bank official stated, “We have implemented support projects to provide tangible benefits to customers struggling due to the ongoing economic downturn. In line with the joint announcement of the banking sector’s ‘Customized Small Business Financial Support’ plan last December, we will prepare sustainable financial support for small business owners and continue virtuous cycle activities for better coexistence through our core financial business.”
