Selected as an Excellent Institution for Promoting Win-Win Cooperation

KB Kookmin Bank announced on the 31st that it is implementing a livelihood finance support plan worth 372.1 billion KRW last year, the largest scale in the banking sector. This figure combines 300.5 billion KRW from the common program and 71.6 billion KRW from the autonomous program.
The autonomous program is divided into policy support and the bank's own programs. Policy support includes contributions to the Korea Inclusive Finance Agency and low-interest refinancing programs. The bank's own programs are designed for financially vulnerable groups such as small business owners and youth.
Since last year, Kookmin Bank has completed disbursement of 54.5 billion KRW through the autonomous program. It is implementing initiatives such as the Small Business Operation Stabilization for small business owners and self-employed individuals, the KB Small Business Support Project, and Entrepreneurial Small Business Development Agreement Guarantees. In addition to providing opportunities for financial recovery through free legal aid projects, it has also supported youth preparing for independence and operated the "Thousand Won Breakfast" project.
On the 22nd, Kookmin Bank was the only bank selected as an excellent institution for promoting win-win cooperation in 2024 by the Financial Supervisory Service. Kookmin Bank explained that the "KB Small Business Support Project," operated as part of the autonomous program, was highly evaluated for its consideration of socially vulnerable groups and leadership in spreading a culture of mutual growth.
A Kookmin Bank official stated, "We will continue to promote win-win programs for small business owners struggling due to the economic downturn," and added, "Following last year, we will do our best as the lifelong financial partner of the people through customized win-win financial support this year as well."
