On the morning of the 31st, following the announcement of its Q4 results for last year, Samsung Electronics stated at a briefing regarding the emergence of the AI (artificial intelligence) model from the Chinese AI startup DeepSeek, "It is too early to make a judgment based on limited information, but we expect long-term opportunities and short-term risks to coexist in the market." They added, "Since we supply HBM (high-bandwidth memory) used in GPUs (graphics processing units) to various customers, we are monitoring industry trends through multiple scenarios." They further stated, "The industry dynamics resulting from the adoption of new technologies are always subject to change, so we will closely watch industry trends and actively respond to the rapidly changing AI market."
