A new monitoring team to assist in the formulation of housing market policies in Busan City will be launched.
Busan City announced on the 31st that it will revamp the housing market monitoring team this year and begin full-scale operations starting in February.
The new revamp aims to strengthen the monitoring team's capabilities by expanding experts in various fields and to propose effective policies through systematic and in-depth analysis of the housing market.
This year, in collaboration with Dong-A University Industry-Academic Cooperation Foundation, more than 70 experts from diverse fields including licensed real estate agents with extensive field experience, academia, private and public institutions, economics, finance, and law will be mobilized. They plan to deeply analyze various variables of the housing market and seek practical solutions.
The monitoring team, which will operate until the end of this year, plans to regularly report key indicators of the housing market, diagnose and analyze issues as they arise, and establish strategies to respond swiftly to market changes.
The "Busan City Housing Market Monitoring Team" was first formed in 2021 and has played an important role through continuous monitoring of the housing market and analysis of real estate transaction trends. It has significantly contributed to stabilizing the housing market and reflecting policies through various achievements up to last year.
Major achievements include ▲the full lifting of the adjustment target areas in 14 districts of Busan City in 2022 ▲prevention of jeonse fraud and proposals for youth housing policies in 2023 ▲suggestions for revitalizing the construction industry in 2024.
Ha Sung-tae, Director of the Housing and Architecture Bureau of Busan City, explained the role of the monitoring team, saying, “It will be an important partner in comprehensively analyzing the housing market, providing real-time information, and supporting our city’s policy formulation and implementation.”
