Seungro Lee, Seongbuk-gu Mayor, Visits Emergency Duty Site During Lunar New Year Holiday to Encourage Staff

Inspection of Emergency Medical System and Comprehensive Situation Room at Public Health Center

Seungro Lee, Mayor of Seongbuk-gu, visited the Seongbuk-gu Public Health Center and the Comprehensive Situation Room on Lunar New Year's Day to inspect emergency medical services and disaster response status at the situation room, and encouraged the medical staff and related employees working on emergency duty during the holiday period.


On the 29th, Mayor Lee visited the emergency clinic at the Public Health Center to check the emergency medical system to prevent medical service gaps during the holiday period. Kyungja Lee, Director of Medical Affairs at the Seongbuk Public Health Center, explained, “We have thoroughly prepared for the increase in patients during the Lunar New Year holiday, and medical services have been provided without any disruption so far.”

Following this, Mayor Lee visited the Comprehensive Situation Room to inspect snow removal operations and disaster preparedness. He particularly checked compliance with the emergency response manual for adverse weather conditions such as cold waves and heavy snowfall, and confirmed the operation status of the 24-hour emergency contact system. Mayor Lee presented encouragement gifts to the staff working at the situation room and emergency clinic, expressing gratitude for their dedication to residents' safety.


Seongbuk-gu operates an emergency treatment situation room and an emergency medical team at the Seongbuk Public Health Center to prevent medical service gaps. During the Lunar New Year holiday, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., the Public Health Center provides information on medical institutions and pharmacies, with three medical staff responsible for primary care.


The district established the ‘2025 Seongbuk-gu Lunar New Year Comprehensive Plan’ for residents and has been implementing it from January 24 to February 3. During this holiday period, 1,057 clinics and hospitals and 231 pharmacies in the district were open, and all promotional channels operated by the district were used to inform residents.
