Mayor Lee Encourages the "Heroes Dedicated to a Happy Holiday for All"
On the 28th, a day before Seollal, Lee Hyun-jae, Mayor of Hanam City, visited the transfer station, medical institutions, daycare centers, nursing facilities, and public transportation facilities one after another to encourage and express gratitude to the personnel dedicated to ensuring that citizens can have a safe and happy holiday.

At 5:40 a.m. that day, Mayor Lee visited the transfer station located in Changwoo-dong before dawn had fully lifted. Despite the cold air, the employees working silently greeted the mayor’s surprise visit with bright smiles.
Hanam City employees and environmental public workers will implement “full attendance” (on the 27th, 28th, and 30th) and “50% attendance” (on the 25th and 26th), except for Seollal day on the 29th, during the Seollal holiday period (from the 25th to the 30th) to smoothly handle household waste and create a clean and pleasant environment.
At 7 a.m., Mayor Lee visited the snow removal sites in Gam-il-dong and Sinjang 2-dong to encourage the staff, then went to the Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters, stating, “Although a heavy snow warning was issued in the Hanam area during the Seollal holiday and the sudden snowfall reached 3.8 cm, the inconvenience to residents was offset by swift and systematic response.” He urged the emergency duty staff, saying, “Until the situation is lifted, please ensure safety measures for vulnerable structures such as pre-evacuation guidance for residents of residential vinyl greenhouses and safety for vulnerable groups including elderly living alone.”

From 9:30 a.m., he visited Hanam EM365 Clinic, Plus Mom Pediatric Clinic, and Ion Clinic located in Gam-il-dong, Mangwol-dong, and Sinjang-dong, respectively, to listen to the difficulties of providing emergency medical care during the holiday and expressed gratitude to the medical staff who worked without rest even during the holiday.
He then visited Gam-il 365 Pharmacy, Ttuntun Pharmacy, and Home Pharmacy to check the operation status of holiday pharmacies and warmly encouraged them, saying, “Thanks to your efforts for the health of citizens, everyone can spend the holiday with peace of mind.”
At 1:20 p.m., Mayor Lee visited Yeongnak Senior Center in Misa 3-dong and greeted the elderly with a bright smile. When he asked, “Are you enjoying the holiday?” the seniors expressed their gratitude by holding his hand. After thoroughly inspecting the facility, he warmly thanked the staff, saying, “Thank you very much for your efforts to ensure that the elderly can live without discomfort.”

While talking with the daycare teachers, he encouraged them, saying, “Thank you for creating a childcare environment where children can be trusted and cared for even in emergencies.” The teachers expressed their gratitude, saying, “Thanks to the mayor’s interest, both the children and parents gain great strength.”
At 3 p.m., he moved to Hanam City Bus Garage and Hanam Public Garage. The bus drivers he met at the garages pledged, “We will do our best to operate safely even during the holiday.” Mayor Lee shook hands with each driver and said, “Thank you for your efforts to ensure that citizens can have a comfortable and safe holiday.”

Hanam City will operate a comprehensive countermeasure situation room 24 hours a day during the Seollal holiday to ensure citizens’ safety and convenience, continuing flawless administration in areas such as emergency medical care, traffic, household waste management, heavy snow, cold waves, and snow removal.
