He then visited Munsan Traditional Market and Geumchon Traditional Market, purchasing goods directly and exchanging New Year's greetings with citizens visiting the markets and merchants who are diligently working during the holiday. He also listened to the difficulties faced by small business owners firsthand and pledged to carefully reflect the voices from the field in city administration.
Paju City has prioritized public livelihood again this year by promoting the "Livelihood Recovery and Living Stability Support Fund" as the first approval of 2025. Since the 21st, it has been the first in the province to provide a support fund of 100,000 KRW per person. It was confirmed that within four days of the application period, 45% of the eligible recipients had completed their applications.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City said, "I would like to express my deep gratitude to the related agency personnel, including police and fire officials, who are working hard for the safety of citizens even during the Lunar New Year holiday." He added, "I hope this support fund will alleviate the economic burden on citizens and small business owners who are going through difficult times due to the ongoing economic downturn and become a turning point for the recovery of the local economy."
