Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, Joins Exciting Lunar New Year Rice Cake Soup Rice Sharing Event

Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo-gu, participated in the "Exciting Day Rice Cake Soup Rice Cake Sharing" event with marriage immigrant women held at Seongsan 1-dong Community Center on the morning of the 24th.

The event, hosted by the Mapo-gu Saemaeul Women's Association, was made more meaningful by the participation of marriage immigrant women.

Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu, marriage immigrant women, and members of the Women's Association who attended the event directly sliced the rice cakes for rice cake soup to share warmth with neighbors. The rice cakes sliced that day are scheduled to be delivered to 150 low-income households, 1.5kg per household.

Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo-gu expressed his New Year's greetings, saying, "I sincerely thank Chairwoman Eo Suk-hui and the members of the Women's Association for holding this sharing event for neighbors in celebration of the Lunar New Year," and added, "I hope this will be an opportunity for marriage immigrant women to experience Korean culture and build affection among neighbors."
