Promotion of Electric Vehicle Distribution Project
Applications Accepted from the 24th to June 30
Paju City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Kyung-il) announced on the 24th that it will promote the 'Electric Vehicle Distribution Project,' which supports part of the cost when purchasing electric vehicles.
Paju City aims to expand the distribution of electric vehicles and achieve sustainable energy transition by investing 21.8 billion KRW this year to support the purchase of 1,506 electric vehicles.
By vehicle type, the support covers 1,000 passenger cars, 500 cargo trucks, and 6 vans. The support amount is up to 10.64 million KRW for electric passenger cars and up to 23.25 million KRW for small electric cargo trucks, varying according to the vehicle's performance and size.
Eligible applicants are individuals (including sole proprietors) and corporations who have maintained a residence or business place in Paju City for more than 60 days as of the application date. The subsidy is provided in the order of vehicle delivery and registration, and if the vehicle is not delivered within 10 days after being selected as a beneficiary, the designation will be canceled.
The application period for the first half of the year is from the 24th to June 30th, and it may close early if the budget is exhausted.
The application process requires the electric vehicle buyer to visit the dealership, sign a contract, and submit the purchase support application form to the dealership, which will then proceed with the subsidy application and vehicle delivery.
Mayor Kim Kyung-il of Paju City stated, “Expanding the distribution of electric vehicles is an important step toward the basic energy society that Paju City aims for,” adding, “Paju City will spare no effort to provide various supports so that citizens can actively participate in the energy transition.”
