On the 24th, the Odong-dong Administrative Welfare Center in Masanhappo-gu, Changwon Special City, Gyeongnam, held an event organized by the Odong-dong Welfare Family Volunteer Association to support 100 underprivileged households in the district with rice cake soup rice cakes and beef bone soup in celebration of the Lunar New Year.

This sharing event was funded by proceeds from the sale of rice cake soup rice cakes, sesame oil, and other items by members of the Welfare Family Volunteer Association throughout Odong-dong. The support is intended for 100 underprivileged households in the district who may be feeling even more isolated during the Lunar New Year holiday.

During this sharing event, members of the Welfare Family Volunteer Association personally visited 100 partnered households to deliver the goods, listen to their daily difficulties, and check on each other's well-being, carrying out activities aimed at preventing solitary deaths during the Lunar New Year holiday.

Chairperson Jo Eun-sook stated, “Although these are difficult times for everyone, I feel great fulfillment that many residents participated in this event for the underprivileged in our community. The Welfare Family Volunteer Association will continue to prioritize our neighbors in need and carry out warm sharing activities in 2025 as well.”
