SRT Lunar New Year Holiday 10-Day Special Safety Management Headquarters Activated

Strengthening Recovery Systems and Safety Management for the Holiday Season

On the 24th, Suseo High-Speed Railway (SRT) operator SR announced that it will operate the SR Special Countermeasures Headquarters for ten days from that day until February 2nd to ensure safe train operations and enhance customer service during the Lunar New Year holiday.

The day before, SR held a special transportation and safety management measures meeting for the Lunar New Year holiday, chaired by CEO Lee Jong-guk. The company called for company-wide efforts to ensure the safe operation of SRT and the convenience of returning travelers.

During the holiday period, SR will have safety, station service, crew, vehicle, and facility personnel on duty to operate a recovery system in preparation for accidents.

Railroad workers’ alcohol consumption and duty status will be inspected by safety supervisors and railroad judicial police. Major facilities, including fire hazards, will also be checked in advance.

Train inspections will be strengthened to prevent brake system freezing and glass window damage due to the drop in temperature. Heating equipment and platform facilities will also be thoroughly checked.
