Gwangsan-gu Social Dialogue Promotion Team Meeting
Gathering Opinions on Green Paper Production and Formation of Jobs Association
Gwangsan-gu in Gwangju is focusing its administrative efforts on realizing sustainable jobs that citizens desire.
Gwangsan-gu announced on the 24th that it held a meeting of the 'Sustainable Jobs Social Dialogue Promotion Team' the previous day, where this year's job creation plans were shared and opinions were gathered.
The promotion team, launched in May last year, is working as a key player in the 'Simunsidap (citizens ask, citizens answer) citizen participation-type social dialogue' along with the 'Sustainable Jobs Agenda Discovery Group,' which includes the participation of about 100 citizens.
The meeting centered on discussions about the 2025 implementation plan for the Sustainable Jobs Special Zone, which was the first official approval of the new year by District Mayor Park Byungkyu. Among the topics discussed were the production of the 'Green Paper (questionnaire)' containing job-related questions and the establishment of the 'Gwangsan-gu Sustainable Jobs Association,' an organization to systematically support social dialogue.
The citizen participation-type social dialogue was held four times from July to November last year. Citizens who participated in the social dialogue had time for questions and discussions on jobs in various sectors such as manufacturing, private services, public services, and community jobs.
From October to November last year, the district held 'Visiting Community Job Dialogue' sessions in 21 neighborhoods, communicating with residents on the theme of jobs.
Mayor Park said, "We will further expand and strengthen the citizen participation-type social dialogue that began in earnest last year, focusing on creating job models that citizens want and need."
