The Contest Theme is "Home"
Applications Accepted Until March 3
Lotte Construction announced on the 24th that it will hold a painting contest to revitalize the culture and arts in the Gimpo-si area of Gyeonggi Province. The winning works will be digitally exhibited at the model house of 'Pungmu Station Lotte Castle Signature,' scheduled for sale in March.
The theme of the contest is 'Home.' Flat paintings will be accepted from residents and workers in Gimpo. Ten works will be selected in each category: elementary school, middle and high school, general, and artist divisions.
Applications are accepted from today until March 3. Submissions must be in JPG files or high-resolution photos. The results will be announced on March 17. Detailed information can be found on the Lotte Castle website.
The winning works will be displayed on a large monitor in the cafeteria inside the model house. Visitors can enjoy the artworks while resting. Winners in the artist division will also have the opportunity to promote their portfolios.
A Lotte Construction official said, "We expect to encounter creative and unique works by Gimpo residents and artists through this painting contest," adding, "We hope this contest will become a place for communication and harmony with local residents."
'Pungmu Station Lotte Castle Signature' consists of 9 buildings, ranging from 4 basement floors to 28 above-ground floors, with units sized 65 to 84 square meters, totaling 720 households. It is within walking distance to Pungmu Station, and the extension of Subway Line 5 is also underway.
