Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun: "Easy Guidance on Medical Institutions and Pharmacies During Lunar New Year Holiday"

Suwon Mayor Lee Jae-jun urged, "Provide easy-to-understand information to citizens about medical institutions and pharmacies operating during the Lunar New Year holiday period."

At the ‘2025 Lunar New Year Holiday Comprehensive Measures Report Meeting’ held on the 23rd at the City Hall Disaster and Safety Situation Room, Mayor Lee said, "To allow citizens to conveniently check hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies, attach a web address link to the safety alert text messages that shows information about medical institutions and pharmacies open during the holiday period."

Accordingly, Suwon City will provide information on medical institutions and pharmacies operating during the Lunar New Year holiday (January 25?30) through the Suwon City website (www.suwon.go.kr). Additionally, the Emergency Medical Portal (www.e-gen.or.kr) and the smartphone app ‘Emergency Medical Information Service’ provide information on all medical institutions, and information on pharmacies open on holidays can be checked on the Holiday Keeper Pharmacy website (www.pharm114.or.kr).

Earlier, on the 21st, the Suwon City Public Health Center held the ‘Suwon Emergency Medical Council Meeting’ with representatives from Suwon and Suwon Southern Fire Stations and emergency medical institutions to inspect the emergency medical system for the Lunar New Year holiday.

Mayor Lee also emphasized, "There is a snow forecast for January 27?28. According to the ‘Suwon Snow Removal Manual,’ start monitoring the situation 24 hours before the snow forecast and respond systematically," adding, "When it snows, snow removal measures must be implemented promptly to prevent inconvenience to citizens."

Suwon City has assigned persons in charge for each snow removal equipment in preparation for heavy snowfall. The response will be based on the amount of snowfall.

Meanwhile, Suwon City will operate a comprehensive situation team during this Lunar New Year holiday. The situation duty team will be organized into 26 teams with 324 members. A comprehensive plan for vulnerable groups during the holiday will be established and implemented, and the Waterworks Office will operate an emergency repair team during the holiday.
