Annual Inspections for Facilities, Festivals, and Disaster Prevention
Enhancing Resident Convenience through Sector-Specific Inspections and Continuous Environmental Patrols
Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) will prioritize resident safety throughout 2025 by implementing “sector-specific planned inspections.”
This inspection is designed to promptly identify and eliminate safety hazards and resident inconveniences by timely checking facilities, festivals, and disaster prevention areas closely related to residents' daily lives.
The main inspection items to be promoted by the district include ▲ constant monitoring of resident inconveniences through environmental patrols ▲ focused inspections to prevent safety accidents in multi-use facilities ▲ pre-inspections of facilities and equipment for natural disaster preparedness.
These inspections aim to improve the quality of life for residents.
In 2024, Jungnang-gu completed maintenance through approximately 360 inspections annually. This year, inspections will focus on places frequently used by residents such as traditional markets, school routes, Jungnangcheon Stream, and walking trails, as well as major local events like the Jungnang Seoul Rose Festival and Yongma Waterfall Culture and Arts Festival.
Additionally, inspections will be strengthened to cover various areas closely related to residents' lives, including summer season inconveniences, waterfront facilities, public parking lots, sidewalk weeds, and snow removal preparedness.
In particular, themes will be selected seasonally and periodically for proactive inspections, and the results will be reported to the relevant departments to ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
Through continuous management of inspection items, the district will enhance residents' trust and strengthen communication with residents to realize a “Safe City Jungnang.”
Ryu Kyung-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “This sector-specific planned inspection will contribute to minimizing inconveniences in residents’ daily lives and creating a safe city where everyone can live with peace of mind,” and requested active cooperation from related departments.
