"Reckless behavior... I will regain trust through baseball"
The extramarital affair of Japanese professional baseball player Azuma Katsuki (29) has come to light, drawing significant attention from the local baseball community. The scandal is expected to escalate, especially since the affair partner is reportedly an adult video (AV) actress.
Japan's "Shukan Bunshun" published photos on the 22nd showing secret meetings between Azuma Katsuki and AV actress Suehiro Jun (25). According to the outlet, the two have recently maintained an inappropriate relationship.

Previously, Azuma stated last month while staying in his hometown of Nagoya, Japan, that he was "dedicating himself solely to training without any days off and was video calling his family every day." However, it was revealed that he was actually spending time with Suehiro at a hotel.
Azuma married in 2020 and has a 4-year-old daughter. In interviews with local media, he has expressed his love for his wife, saying, "The love of my family is the source of my strength."
Following the report by Shukan Bunshun, Azuma immediately admitted to the affair. He stated, "I lost trust due to my reckless behavior," but also said, "I believe the only way to regain trust is to focus seriously on baseball and deliver results."
On the 23rd, Azuma also posted on his personal Instagram account, bowing his head and apologizing, "I deeply apologize for betraying the fans, club officials, and my family who have always supported me due to my reckless actions."
He continued, "I apologized to my wife immediately and was reprimanded. After many conversations, I cannot raise my head to my wife who said she would support me once again. I will reflect on this matter and do my best to regain the lost trust of baseball and my family," he emphasized once again.
