"I Found Out Late That He Was Married"... Hana-gyeong, Sued as the Other Woman, Loses Appeal Trial Too

Former actress turned BJ (internet broadcaster) Hanagyeong (currently active under the name Sohye-ri) lost the appeal in the alienation of affection lawsuit.

According to the legal community, on the 22nd, the 4-1 Civil Division of the Busan District Court dismissed both the plaintiff's and defendant's appeals in the alienation of affection damages lawsuit filed by Ms. A against Hanagyeong, upholding the original judgment. The first trial court ruled in July 2023 that "Hanagyeong must pay 15 million KRW to Ms. A," partially siding with the plaintiff.

According to the complaint, Hanagyeong met Mr. B, the husband of Ms. A, at a nightlife establishment in Busan at the end of 2021, and from January of the following year, they continued a serious relationship for about five months. During this period, Hanagyeong became pregnant with Mr. B's child and proposed immigrating together to Vietnam. However, as the divorce proceedings between Ms. A and Mr. B stalled, Hanagyeong directly contacted Ms. A to reveal her inappropriate relationship with Mr. B and the pregnancy.

During the lawsuit, Hanagyeong claimed that she "found out late that Mr. B was married." In a petition, she stated, "If it were not for me, Ms. A would never have known the truth about Mr. B," and added, "She falsely accused me and turned me, the victim, into the perpetrator." Both parties filed appeals after the first trial ruling, but the court dismissed them, concluding the matter.

Meanwhile, Hanagyeong debuted in 2005 with the MBC drama 'Byeolsungeom' and appeared in dramas such as 'Geunchogo-wang,' 'Juhonggeulssi,' 'Shingisaengdyeon,' and 'Makdwaemeogeun Young-ae Season 8.'
