Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeollanam-do, delivered a letter of appreciation to volunteers who devoted themselves to relief activities during the Jeju Air passenger plane disaster. The letter was shared through the Jeollanam-do Volunteer Center website and other channels.
In the letter, he expressed gratitude and comfort for the hard work of the volunteers who came together at the disaster site to help victims and their families, emphasizing that their warm solidarity was a great strength in overcoming the crisis.
Governor Kim Youngrok stated in the letter, "Even in the midst of the pain of the disaster, thanks to the dedication and warm support of the volunteers, the victims and their bereaved families were able to have a precious farewell time, albeit with sadness."
He continued, "The efforts of the volunteers are the driving force that allows our society to overcome difficulties and are a valuable example of the power of community." He emphasized, "Jeollanam-do will continue to promote a culture of volunteering and sharing to build a community where everyone participates together."
