Up to 3 Million KRW Per Company
Support Provided by March 14
Damyang County in Jeollanam-do (Governor Lee Byungno) announced on the 23rd that it will provide emergency support for promotional marketing expenses, up to 3 million KRW per company, to local travel agencies suffering from severe management difficulties due to the aftermath of the Jeju Air passenger plane accident.
The support is available to travel agencies registered in the county as of last year, based on the 'Tourism Promotion Act,' and they must be in operation as of the application date. However, if there are multiple agencies under the same owner within the travel industry, only one agency can receive support.
The support covers online and offline promotional expenses such as SNS production, promotion, advertising, newspaper, magazine, banner, and leaflet costs, as well as the production of promotional materials. However, facility projects such as signboard production and installation are not included.
The county has selected 12 travel agencies as beneficiaries. If these agencies complete their promotional marketing projects by February 28, the county will review their registration and eligibility and provide the support funds by March 14.
Governor Lee Byungno said, "I hope this emergency support will help revive the stagnant tourism market and provide some relief to travel agencies facing management difficulties."
