There is a perfect golf course to spend happy times playing golf. It is Gold CC, located in Giheung-gu, Yongin-si, Gyeonggi-do. This course is owned by GA Korea, a leading company representing golf courses and resorts, which also operates Korea CC, Korea Public, and Ganghwa Wellbeing CC, among others. ◆EnjoyGO= Gold CC is one of South Korea’s representative golf courses, opened in 1986. It boasts a vast area of 420,000 pyeong and offers excellent accessibility, just a 30-minute drive from Gangnam, Seoul. It features 36 holes with light facilities and electronic-guided 5-seater carts for added convenience. The 36 holes, created along the Mubongsan mountain ridge, harmonize with nature, allowing players to enjoy rounds amid beautiful scenery that includes deep valleys. The golf course is divided into the Champion Course (18 holes, 6,327m) and the Master Course (18 holes, 6,037m), each with its unique charm.

The Champion Course features large and small ponds, providing the fun of overcoming obstacles. The Master Course, with its charming design, is especially popular among female golfers.

Winter promotions are ongoing until the end of this month. On weekdays, rounds for 2 or 5 players and 27-hole rounds are available, and there is a “Polar Bear Event” where cart fees are free when temperatures drop below minus 7 degrees Celsius. On snowy days, color balls are provided, and when temperatures fall below zero, warm cart heaters and hot packs are given. Winter snacks like a cup of fish cake are also offered.

◆EatGO= Gold CC prioritizes customer satisfaction and offers personalized one-on-one services. The clubhouse spans 1,654 pyeong across one basement floor and three above-ground floors, providing deep flavors through seasonal menus.

Food and beverages are managed by Walkerhill Hotel & Resort, ensuring excellent quality. Single dishes include lobster seafood jjambbong, abalone dumpling rice cake soup, Korean beef brisket market soup, aged kimchi stew, seaweed oyster rice soup, and healthy barley meals. American-style breakfast is also available, offering sausage, bacon, eggs, salad, toast, orange juice, and coffee. Side dishes include perilla oil grilled tofu and fried eggs made with animal welfare-certified free-range eggs.

Additionally, there are various dishes for four people, such as pork belly and webfoot octopus stir-fry, chop steak, and wild mushroom dumpling hot pot. Lamb chops can be enjoyed with a reservation made two hours in advance. At the shade house, simple menus like Gold broth tteokbokki and fish cake hot pot are available to satisfy hunger.

Gold Family Condo is also available, suitable for families or group gatherings. The condos, sized 30 pyeong and 40 pyeong, are equipped with various facilities including a barbecue area, playground, cafe, indoor swimming pool, and a convenience store.

◆SeeGO= There are various attractions and activities around Gold CC. The Korean Folk Village, opened in 1974, is a traditional culture theme park where visitors can experience the wisdom and ingenuity of ancestors through Joseon Dynasty houses, traditional workshops, and folk culture exhibition halls. It covers a land area of 300,000 pyeong and a building area of approximately 8,772.5 pyeong. Night openings are held on Fridays, Saturdays, and public holidays, with operating hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Shopping around Gold CC is also convenient. Lotte Premium Outlet Giheung Branch is a representative shopping destination in southern Gyeonggi, featuring a family-friendly space and a large food court called “Tasty Ground.” Here, you can find 14 famous restaurants, including the Japanese-style restaurant “Yoshoku” and Busan’s popular tteokbokki place “Igane Tteokbokki.” There is also a 40-pyeong pet ground where you can dine with your pets.
