The ‘Youth Housing Achievement Project’ is a program in which the district provides housing information to young people and offers customized one-on-one consulting by household type such as single-person households, newlyweds, and single-parent families, along with one-day interior design & organization classes, providing youth-tailored services to support housing stability for young people.
This project is the first collaboration between LH Housing Welfare Information and a basic local government since the opening of the Seocho Youth Center in April last year. In particular, it is expected to provide practical help to young people struggling with housing issues as a result of the continuous interest of Mayor Jeon Seong-su in youth housing problems, the expertise LH Housing Welfare Information possesses in the housing sector, and the dedicated role played by the Seocho Youth Center as a delivery system.
According to the business agreement, the three organizations will contribute to solving youth housing problems through housing-related information provision, customized housing consultation corners, youth public housing support education, special lectures by invited experts, and capacity-building education for public officials in charge of housing welfare, offering housing support programs tailored to individual situations and conditions.
This project will regularly operate online and offline consultations and education every Thursday evening to facilitate participation by employed youth. Additionally, a dedicated consultation space will be created within the Seocho Youth Center to continuously provide information, and specialized youth housing lectures by field will be planned to deliver housing policies to more young people along with close and in-depth counseling operations.
Mayor Jeon Seong-su said, “We will continue to strive for the housing stability of young people,” and added, “We will do our best to create an environment where young people can achieve their dreams and prepare for the future.”
