Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced that it has set 400 units of purchase rental housing for youth preparing for independence this year and began recruiting tenants from the 23rd.
LH has been prioritizing the supply of youth purchase rental housing to help youth preparing for independence who are leaving child welfare facilities. The units are equipped with refrigerators, washing machines, etc., and residents can stay for up to 10 years. The deposit is 1 million KRW, and the monthly rent is about 40% of the nearby market price.
Applicants must be homeless and have ended foster care or left child welfare facilities within the last five years according to relevant laws. Those who have extended protection measures, are scheduled to end protection measures, or are scheduled to leave facilities are also included, and there are no separate income or asset criteria.
Applications are possible regardless of current residence, and applicants can confirm eligibility through consultation with LH housing welfare officers nationwide.
