270% Increase in Users
200% Rise in Monthly Session Duration
On January 23, MayAI, a video processing artificial intelligence (AI) startup, announced that since its establishment in 2019, it has recorded annual sales growth rates of more than double each year.
MayAI, which operates the video processing AI solution "mAsh," has achieved an average annual sales growth rate of 200% over the past five years since its founding. Based on its proprietary AI technology, the company has validated demand for visitor analytics in offline spaces and has created monetization cases.
MayAI cited its differentiated technology as the primary driver of its sales growth. In internal tests, the company's proprietary re-identification technology demonstrated an accuracy rate of 92%, surpassing the latest academic models, which recorded 66%. The number of users of "mAsh Board," a web dashboard that provides an at-a-glance view of data analyzed by mAsh, increased by approximately 270% year-on-year, and the average monthly session duration rose by about 200% compared to the previous year.
Additionally, mAsh uses AI to analyze CCTV footage, enabling quantitative identification of popular zones and departing customers in offline stores. MayAI's AI engine analyzes more than 19,000 hours of video footage in real time per day, and since the end of 2020, the cumulative amount of processed video has reached 10 million hours.
Building on the achievements of last year, MayAI plans to solidify its position as a market leader and embark on full-scale scaling up this year. Park Junhyeok, CEO of MayAI, stated, "This year, we will continue to drive data-driven innovation in offline spaces and grow into a company recognized in the global market."
