MyrinTV (real name Choi Rin), a famous YouTuber who gained widespread attention in third grade by posting a video of himself secretly cooking ramen at night without his mother knowing, recently announced that he has been accepted to Yonsei University.

On the 22nd, Choi, who runs the YouTube channel "MyrinTV" with 1.08 million subscribers, posted a photo of his acceptance letter to the Department of German Language and Literature at Yonsei University on his social media, saying, "I am grateful to everyone who supported me, and I am happy to share this good news."

On the same day, Choi also uploaded a video titled "Finally Accepted in the 2025 Regular Admissions" to "MyrinTV," sharing the news of his acceptance. The video shows Choi, together with his mother at home, checking the acceptance result and becoming emotional to the point of tears. His parents hugged him in celebration and helped him put on a Yonsei University varsity jacket they had prepared in advance. Choi commented, "After failing all six early admissions, I really wanted to share good news with you, but since the regular admissions results are announced late, it was very stressful. Now, I am so happy to finally share that I have been accepted to university."

Upon hearing the news of Choi's acceptance, online users left congratulatory messages such as, "Looking forward to a video of you eating ramen secretly from your professor," "You almost had to film 'Retaking the College Entrance Exam Without Mom Knowing'," "It's amazing that a YouTuber with a million subscribers kept up with his studies," "Admitted to SKY through regular admissions as a current student-I'm speechless," "A million-subscriber YouTuber, a foreign language high school graduate, and now accepted to Yonsei through regular admissions-impressive," "So admirable and commendable," "I was worried when I heard you didn't get in through early admissions, but now that you've been accepted, I'm so happy," "I knew things would turn out well," "May you only walk the flower path," "I've been watching since you were in third grade, and now you're going to university," "Looking forward to college student Myrin," and "You finally did it."

Choi began his YouTube channel in 2015 when he was in third grade, quickly gaining popularity with content tailored to teenagers. Among his videos, "Cooking Ramen at Midnight Without Mom Knowing" offered the thrill of a small act of rebellion for viewers of his age and has reached 11.11 million views.

Four years and seven months after launching his channel, when he was in first grade of middle school, he reached 1 million subscribers. As he grew older, the content of his videos also evolved, covering topics such as games, challenges, and daily vlogs that reflected the interests and everyday life of a middle school student, maintaining steady interest from viewers.

While remaining active as a YouTuber, Choi did not neglect his studies and was admitted to Hankuk Academy of Foreign Studies. Afterward, he mainly produced vlogs depicting the daily life of high school students commuting between school and private academies.

Consistently creating content that resonated with his peers at each stage of his growth, Choi's "MyrinTV" was recognized last year with the National Assembly Secretary-General's Award at the "Influencer of the Month Awards" for September, hosted by the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee and organized by the Global Influencer Cooperative Association.
